Tyner Academy, ChattState and UTC Host Quantum Learning Activities to Celebrate World Quantum Day

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 12, 2023) – Beginning April 14, EPB Future Ready Institute of Technology and Networking at Tyner Academy, Chattanooga State Community College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) will host Quantum Learning Activities as a coordinated effort of Gig City Goes Quantum to achieve community participation in 1,000+ Quantum Learning Activities by May 31.

Although Gig City Goes Quantum partners will host a number of Quantum Learning Activities, members of the media are particularly invited to attend a press conference on April 14 at 1 p.m. at EPB Future Ready Institute of Technology and Networking at Tyner Academy. The press conference will be followed immediately by a hands-on quantum science demonstration by Qubitekk President, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder Dr. Duncan Earl to a classroom of in-person students:

Parking Instructions for Tyner Academy: From Hickory Valley Road, turn right on Tyner Road. After passing Tyner Academy and the Auditorium, turn right onto the parking lot beside the Auditorium. The ceremony will be held in the EPB Institute of Technology and Networking classroom at the bottom of the stairs. Balloons will be displayed to identify the parking lot and classroom.

Photo Opportunities: Media will have opportunities for video and photography of Dr. Duncan Earl giving the demonstration as students watch along with interview opportunities with speakers, etc.
