AirPods Pro pushes new firmware

Sina Digital News May 6 morning news, Apple today began to push the firmware update of AirPods Pro wireless headphones, upgrading the previous firmware version 2C54 or 2B588 to “2D15”.

Currently, there are no details about this firmware update. Previously, there were some complaints from AirPods Pro users, saying that the noise reduction ability of the previous firmware was not as good as the original.

‌AirPods Pro‌ firmware updates often include performance improvements, bug fixes, and feature tweaks. Unlike hardware such as the iPhone, AirPods has a very low sense of firmware update, users can’t even see the update interface, and Apple has no update instructions. There is no clear way for users to manually upgrade the AirPods Pro firmware. Typically, new firmware is downloaded and installed when the AirPods are connected to an iOS device. There’s also the claim that connecting the AirPods to a power source and then pairing the AirPods to an iPhone or iPad forces an update for a short period of time.

If you need to check the AirPods firmware version, first connect the headphones to your iOS device. Go to “Settings” -> “General” -> “About” -> “AirPods Pro” to check.

Apple released the 2C54 firmware update last December, but it has since been canceled, so some people who update are currently on 2C54 firmware, while others are still using 2B588.
